Error
Description
A major Class I CW spread shows on IGWT, LIBERTY, the date, and the queue. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Short die scratch WNW from the upper left of the 9. Die gouge ESE from above the upper right I in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: Heavily abraded. Strong E/W die scratches through the queue into the lower back of the neck. Obverse Stage C: Heavily abraded. Die scratch through queue very weak. E/W die crack through hair at the top of the head. Reverse Stage A: The reverse of Stage A is a Class VI doubled die listed as 1934 25¢ WDDR-001. Massive extra thickness spread towards the center shows on USA, EPU, QURATER DOLLAR, the leaves, the branches, the eagle’s head, and the eagle’s wings. A short die gouge runs ENE from the lower right A in STATES. Reverse Stage B: New reverse die. None noted. Reverse Stage C: None noted.
