Description

A spread towards the center shows on FIVE CENTS, USA, and the dots.Die Markers: Obverse: Die clash remnants right of the eye. Short N/S die scratch at the bottom of the neck. Many N/S die scratches, including two scratches in the shape of a V, at the throat. N/S die scratches in front of the bottom lip. Reverse: Type II Reverse. Long curved die scratch below the buffalo's chin.Submitted By: Keith ChristensonCross References: None known Obverse: Die clash remnants can be found under the chin and under the feathers. A die crack runs through the top of the large feather. Reverse: Type II Reverse. Die clash remnants run through EPU. A die crack runs through the top of the ITED of UNITED and then NE from the D to the rim. A die crack runs north from the E in EPU between the A and M in AMERICA and then out to the rim. A die crack runs east from the buffalo’s tail to the rim at about 3:00.
