Description
Discovery October 2023, GC Consignor 14 III2 9 • C4c (Doubled Profile, Die Break Right Wreath) (?) Obverse III2 9 - Date in normal lateral position with small spike on the top right of the base. Liberty's profile slightly doubled from nose to chin, with strongest doubling on lower part of chin. ''Die Marker'' - Polishing lines in LIBERTY Reverse C4c - S mint mark set slightly high. Most peripheral lettering slightly doubled toward rim. Extensive die cracks througout reverse, including cracks across In God We Trust with chips inside G, We, and s, radial die break left of R in AMERICA from rim to the wreath, crack across eagle's left wing, cracks along midline of both sides of the wreath. Die break in middle of right wreath opposite I. Die break in middle of left wreath opposite NI.
