Description
1888-P VAM-16 Doubled 1, Doubled Lower Reverse Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, January 1982. Revised 2016, Brent Fogelberg. This coin is a Hot 50 Morgan VAM. 16(revised) III213 · C3f (Doubled 1, Doubled Lower Reverse) (190) Obverse III213– 1 slightly doubled below upper crossbar. Vertical die gouge in leaves on either side of right cotton boll. Small horizontal die gouge in lower hair edge below designer's initial M. (Formerly VAM-26) Reverse C3f– Doubled lower reverse including lower wreath and bow, bottom arrow shaft, left tail feather ends, bottom of olive leaves and NE DOLLAR.
