Description
1883-O VAM-17A Low 3, O Tilted Left, Tilted Field Discovered by Michael Ash, March 2006. 17A III28 · C3l (Low 3, O Tilted Left, Tilted Field) (181) Obverse III28– Die crack thru top of PLURIBUS and another thru wheat leaves up to bottom of U and down to cap field with tilted field below it to top of cap. Reverse C3a– Thin and shallow die scratch at top of eagle’s right wing. COMMENTS: 1. I do not believe this is a VAM-17 daughter as the date does not match the plated one in the VAM book nor does it have an especially low 3. It seems to match the VAM-19 obverse.
