Description
1882-S VAM-28 Doubled Date, S/S Lower Loop Discovered by Marc Serafine, April 2004. 28 III219 · C3f (Doubled Date, S/S Lower Loop) (188) Obverse III219– Entire date is doubled. 1 slightly doubled below upper cross bar and lower right of vertical shaft. First 8 strongly doubled at left inside and right outside of upper loop and slightly doubled at right outside of lower loop. Second 8 strongly doubled at left outside of upper loop and slightly doubled at left outside of lower loop. 2 slightly doubled at left side of upper ball. Top of Phrygian cap slightly doubled. Reverse C3f– IV S mint mark re-punched with original showing as pointed diagonal bar in middle of lower loop opening. Upper loop almost filled. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments:
