Description
1882-S VAM-3 Doubled 82, S Tilted Left, Acid Treated Wreath Discovered by Charles Wallace, April 1959. Revised 2011, Brent Fogelberg 3(revised) III2 3 - C3b (Doubled 82, S Tilted Left, Acid Treated Wreath) (187) Obverse III2 3– 82 in date slightly doubled at top.Die chip on right side of left 8 and on left side of right 8 between loops. Open 2 variety. Reverse C3b - IV S mint mark is filled and tilted left. Every leaf cluster in left and right wreaths has 1-3 leaves treated with acid with flat surfaces and ragged sharp edges to enhance over polished leaves. Left stem in wreath bow also acid treated.
