Description
=1882-P VAM-9 Doubled 82= Discovered by Maurice Dubreuil, June 1975. 9 III2 9 ∙ C3a (Doubled 82) (180) Obverse III2 9 – 82 in date doubled. Second 8 doubled slightly on left outside of upper loop and bottom outside of lower loop. 2 doubled slightly at top and right outside of upper loop. First 8 has die chip on left side between loops. Reverse C3a – Normal die ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Shared obverse & reverse with the 1882-P VAM-1G. These 2 VAM's are of the same die marriage. No 1882-P VAM-1G has been seen, by the author, that does not have the chip 8 & double 82 (1882-P VAM-9). # The photo's below are taken from 3 seperate coins. Both are AOH from ANACS (2 as 1882-P VAM-9 and 1 as 1882-P VAM-1G). The 1882-P VAM-9 was attributed prior to the listing of the 1882-P VAM-1G and has the VAM 1G die scratch present on the reverse. The AOH VAM 1G has matching date doubling for the VAM 9 description as pictured below.
