Description
1882-P VAM-12 Doubled Date Discovered by Kirk Duncan, May 1977. Revised 2014. 12(revised) III2 12 · C3a (Doubled Date) (180) Obverse III2 12 – Entire date is doubled. 1 is doubled slightly at very bottom. First 8 is slightly doubled at right outside of upper loop. Second 8 is strongly doubled at left outside of upper loop and slightly at bottom outside of lower loop. 2 is slightly doubled at top outside of upper loop. Die marker - Diagonal polishing ling at top left of I in LIBERTY. Reverse C3a – Die marker - Vertical thread-like die impression on upper tail feathers. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: 1882-P VAM-12 & 1882-P VAM-34 have the same reverse.
