Error
Description
1882-P VAM-4 Doubled 2 Discovered by Bill Fivaz, October 1974. Revised August 2025. 4 III2 4 • C3a (Doubled 2) (?) Obverse III2 4 - 2 is slightly doubled on the right side of the ball at top. Upper loop of 2 is filled with shallow metal from die chips with horizontal polishing marks. Different pattern than VAM 1B. Die marker - Die scratches thru RT of LIBERTY. Reverse C3a - Die markers – Nearly horizontal lines to right of bow and under wreath stem. Multiple fine parallel lines in lower tail feather under olive branch. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: These appear to all be the same as the 1882-P VAM-1B (This is a better listing as there is a little doubling on the 2).
