Description
1882-CC VAM-2C4 Doubled 882, Lip Counter Clash Break, Break Cap Back Discovery 2011. This coin is a Hit List 40 Morgan VAM. 2C4 III2 2- C3b (Doubled 882, Lip Counter Clash Break, Break Cap Back) (177) Obverse III2 2 - Die slightly polished again. Lip counter clash and cap break remain. Reverse C3b - Die polished again reducing the severity of clash vees at top of wreath, but faint remains of five vees still show. Die reset in press to 5 degrees CW rotated reverse. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: If there are the five clashes, but not repolished, it is a 1882-CC VAM-2C3. If it shows that but also repolishing (easiest to look at the clash up to In from the wing), then it is a 1882-CC VAM-2C4.# Reverse has faint clashed profile from left laurel wreath to the eagles left wing. Reverse die is rotated 5 degrees on some specimens, other rotated specimens are 1882-CC VAM-2C1 and 1882-CC VAM-2C2.
