=1881-S VAM-5 S/S Left, Doubled Reverse Legend= Discovered by Ron Downing, March 1966. 5(revised) III2 1 - C3b (S/S Left, Doubled Reverse Legend) (186) Obverse III2 1- Short spike at top left inside of left 8 upper loop.. Reverse C3b- IV S Mint mark is repunched and tilted slightly to left with original showing as a long vertical spike within the middle of the upper loop opening and an arc to the right of the lower loop opening. Slightly doubled UNITED STATES OF AMERICA bottom inside of letters towards rim. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: 1881-S VAM-37, 1881-S VAM-5 Comments: # This exact reverse shared with 1881-S VAM-5 & 1881-S VAM-37. # The exact same obverse die was used to produce the 1881-S VAM-5 & 1881-S VAM-83.
