=1881-O VAM-2 O/O Low= Discovered by Ron Downing, March 1966.Revised 2013 2(revised) III2 1 - C3b (O/O Low) (176) Obverse III2 1 - Normal die Reverse C3b - II O mint mark tilted to left and repunched with curved line showing at bottom inside. Some middle leaves in wreath doubled. Eagle's right wing over polished in middle. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This is actually a different obverse die from 1881-O VAM-2A. No spike in the first 8, different die cracks, and a clash without letter transfer. It's not a polished 1881-O VAM-2A obverse. A small sample shows that 1881-O VAM-2 is not as common as 1881-O VAM-2A.
