Description
1881-CC VAM-2 Doubled 88 and Top Reverse Discovered by Bill Fivaz, July 1972. 2(revised) III22 · C3c (Doubled 88 and Top Reverse) (178) Obverse III22– Both 8's in date doubled. First 8 has die chip on left inside of tip loop and is doubled as a thin line at top inside of lower loop. Second 8 has die chips in a band across middle inside of upper loop and is doubled on right inside of lower loop. Reverse C3c– Slightly doubled upper leaves of right and left wreaths towards rim, bottom inside of STATES OF AMERICA towards rim and tops of In God We Trust towards rim. Thin line die scratch from olive branch to leaves just above arrow feathers. V CC mint mark tilted slightly to left. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments:
