One of the easier ways to tell the difference is that the lower left wreath leaves on the [[1880-P VAM-25C are disconnected from polishing. The die progression is believed to be [[1880-P VAM-25, [[1880-P VAM-25B, got polished for [[1880-P VAM-25A, then [[1880-P VAM-25C. # 1880-P VAM-31A was eliminated as a duplicate of 1880-P VAM-25C.
