Description
1878-P VAM-212A Line Through IB, Clashed Obverse n & st Discovered a VAM 210B2 May 2003 by Mark Kimpton. Renumbered as VAM 212A, November 2022. 212A II 2 • C2a (Line Through IB, Clashed Obverse n & st) (194) Obverse II 2– Raised dots on Liberty's head, face & neck from rusted die. Heavy die clash marks w/ partial incuse n of In from reverse next to Liberty's neck & partial incuse st of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Date position (DPIS): In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position.
