The reverse of the VAM-223 has a slanted arrow feather rather than a parallel arrow feather. Besides VAM-223, 1878-P VAM-188 also has a washed out L obverse but has a short arrow nock and a broken letter R in TRUST on the reverse. 1878-P VAM-84 and 1878-P VAM-84A have the long nock B1 reverse and a washed out L of LIBERTY.
