A new wrinkle for Morgans, a documented remarriage. The VAM 19.1 obverse was placed back into service after the VAM 19A break forced the retirement of that obverse. 1st marriage VAM 19.1 examples will lack any of the crack pattern thru STATES that we see on mid die stage VAM 19.2 pieces and the VAM 19A. 2nd marriage VAM 19.1 pieces will always be cracked thru the top of STATES. Unlike the VAM 19A break, which appears to have been instantaneous, the radial break of the VAM 19B reverse was progressive. # 1878-CC VAM-19.1 & 1878-CC VAM-19B are the exact same die pair. 1878-CC VAM-19.1 has no die break at the R in AMERICA and 1878-CC VAM-19B does.
