1878-CC VAM-11 Lines in Wing Discovered by Clarence Brown, February 1966. This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM. '''11 II3 - B2b (Lines in Wing)''' '''Obverse II 3 –''' Normal die of 1878 P Type II with broken point off number 4 star on right (a hub defect). '''Reverse B2b-''' Heavy lines at the bottom of the eagle's right wing and in the middle of left wing. CC mint mark at medium height and tilted slightly to right. The most noticeable is on the left side of the eagle as you look at it forming a "Z" shape in the lower wings. Gouges also crisscross the other wing with a cluster up in the top third region.
