Description
A 1787 Vermont copper with the bust facing right, the opposite orientation from the standard bust left issues. The right-facing bust is uncommon in the Vermont copper series and represents a distinct die sinker's style. The obverse legend reads AUCTORITATE VERMONTENSIUM and the reverse shows the standard seated Liberty with INDE ET LIB.
Rarity Notes
Moderately scarce. Bust right orientation is less common for Vermont coppers.
