Description
One of the most famous and desirable Vermont copper varieties, the 1786 "Baby Head" features a small, childlike portrait bust on the obverse that is strikingly different from the standard Vermont landscape or mature bust designs. The tiny, round-faced bust has earned this variety its memorable nickname and makes it one of the key dates in the Vermont copper series. The reverse shows a seated figure with the legend INDE ET LIB.
