Description
A 1786 Vermont copper with the full legend AUCTORITATE VERMONTENSIUM ("By the Authority of the People of Vermont") on the obverse. The landscape obverse design continued from 1785, showing the Green Mountains with a rising sun and plow. The VERMONTENSIUM spelling is the most grammatically correct Latin form used in the Vermont copper series.
