About This Coin
The Roman Head group of the Washington Pieces (1783-1800) series holds the pieces described below. Baker calls this piece the Naked Bust cent of 1792 (No. 19): an undraped, filleted head facing right with WASHINGTON PRESIDENT 1792, and an eagle with raised wings, six stars and CENT on the reverse, with the edge UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. He classed it as a tradesman's token whose head is Roman in character.
