Description
The 1792 Washington President Roman Head Cent is filed under Roman Head in the Washington Pieces (1783-1800) series. Baker calls this piece the Naked Bust cent of 1792 (No. 19): an undraped, filleted head facing right with WASHINGTON PRESIDENT 1792, and an eagle with raised wings, six stars and CENT on the reverse, with the edge UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. He classed it as a tradesman's token whose head is Roman in character. It is catalogued as Baker-19. PCGS lists it as #731.
