About This Series

Half dimes featuring the Draped Bust portrait of Liberty, produced with both the Small Eagle (1796-1797) and Heraldic Eagle (1800-1805) reverses. No half dimes were struck from 1798 to 1799. The 1802 is a major rarity with only 3,060 produced. These tiny silver coins saw heavy circulation and high-grade examples are elusive.
