Draped Bust Dimes 1796-1807

About This Series

The first dime series, featuring the Draped Bust portrait of Liberty by Robert Scot. Early issues (1796-1797) show a Small Eagle reverse, replaced by the Heraldic Eagle in 1798. Total mintages were modest, and all dates are considered scarce. The 1804 with 14 stars on the reverse is a notable variety.
