About This Series

Charles Barber's Liberty Head design, part of the unified Barber coinage series. The 1896-S, 1901-S, and 1913-S are key dates with low mintages. The series was produced at four mints — Philadelphia, Denver (from 1906), San Francisco, and New Orleans (through 1909). Barber quarters circulated heavily, making high-grade survivors uncommon.
