About This Coin
The 2021 5 oz. ATB Silver Quarter is a United States quarter from the 5 oz. America the Beautiful Silver Quarters 2010 to Date series — the final year of the series. In 2021, coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a combined mintage of 2 million. This represents the second-highest annual mintage in the series, above the series median of 189,625. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site (AL) was the 56th and final coin in the program, honoring the African American WWII fighter pilots who overcame segregation to serve with distinction. Struck in 99.9% silver, weighing 6.25 grams, 76.2 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Estimated market value across variants is approximately $113. A notable auction result reached $3.3K in MS69 grade at eBay. Designed by John Flanagan (obverse) / various reverse designers.
