Description
2025-P VR WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2025-P Dr. Vera Rubin quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. Slight doubling to the NE shows on the top of Rubin's scarf and in its inner curl, and also in the hair curls behind her ear. The obverse is WDDO-001, with strong tripling under the eyelid. Obverse markers: several chips on the cheek; a gouge touching the date's last 2 on its right side; a gouge under the bust's front tip; a gouge left of the S of TRUST; and a gouge between the T and Y of LIBERTY. Reverse markers: a gouge over the star above Rubin's head; a gouge over the arm of her glasses; a scratch running from the O of OF on its left side; a gouge left of the M of AMERICA; and right of the N of RUBIN, near its top, a gouge. Christina Molina submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
