Carrying pending VarietyVista classification codes UVC-???? and DMR-00?, this 2024 Philadelphia Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray Quarter obverse exhibits a light spread on the ear and hair curls above the ear. Die markers include a small die gouge on the bridge of the nose at the early die state. The Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray Quarter was issued under the American Women Quarters Program (2022-2025), honoring the pioneering civil rights activist, legal scholar, author, and first African American woman ordained as an Episcopal priest. The obverse carries Laura Gardin Fraser's portrait of George Washington, restored to the quarter in 2022 after John Flanagan's design had served since 1932.
