Description
2024-P CC WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 2024-P Celia Cruz quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. Close doubling to the south shows on the eyelid and on the hair over the ear, and further doubling runs north on the lower hair detail. Obverse markers: a north-south crack over the eye; a chip on the nose tip; a gouge over the 4 of the date; a gouge SE of TRUST's last T; and a gouge under the bust's front tip. The reverse is the doubled working hub WWHR-001. Its markers: gouges left of the C of CRUZ; a few short gouges heading N off Cruz's right hand; across her upper hair, a few NE/SW gouges; a gouge at the rim over the I of AMERICA; a gouge left of the 2 in 25¢; and gouges on both sides of the ¢ in 25¢. Steven Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
