Description

Class VIII, Tilted Hub DoublingClass VIII doubling shows above the top step below the center door and on the tops of the letters T, I, C, E of MONTICELLO. Die Markers: Obverse: Two die gouges ((dots) to left of designer's initials, DW, and below bottom left corner of second 2 of date. Reverse: Heavy die gouge to upper left of small right window; die dot above T of UNITED; die gouge in field below S of PLURIBUS; die gouge above second L of MONTICELLO.
