2019 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-033

Description

2019 WDDO-033 is a doubled die obverse on the 2019 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows slight extra thickness, and the date shows sloped extra thickness, most visible on the 20. Obverse markers: a small chip over the Y of LIBERTY on its left side; a light NW/SE scratch through the T; a chip below the B on its right side; and a chip right of the lower third of the E. On the reverse, two chips lie over the R of PLURIBUS along a crack following the top of the shield, and a scratch heads south, right of the B in LB. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler's comments note that the chips around LIBERTY and the absence of scratches at the mouth show this to be a different variety from 2019 WDDO-009.
