2019 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-028

Description

2019 WDDO-028 is a doubled die obverse on the 2019 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows mild extra thickness and the date moderate extra thickness, easiest to see on the 1. Obverse markers: a number of chips around the LIBE of LIBERTY; a chip touching the right leg of the R at its lower right side; and a chip touching the left side of the Y where its branches meet. On the reverse, one crack heads from the O of ONE, at its lower left, toward the L of LB; another runs through the right scroll and through the upper right corner of CENT's T, and from the bottom of that T toward the J of JFM. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
