2019 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-025

Description

2019 WDDO-025 is a doubled die obverse on the 2019 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows extra thickness; the date shows no doubling. Wexler records two stages. The Stage A obverse has several small chips around the RTY of LIBERTY and a shallow gouge touching the G of GOD at its upper left. On the Stage B obverse, the small chips around the RTY remain, with new chips over the B and under the R of LIBERTY and a chip above the 2 of the date. On the Stage A reverse, a chip sits at the rim over the I of UNITED, and a small chip lies under the A of STATES on its right side. On the Stage B reverse, a chip lies under the O of OF on its left side. Steve Young submitted both stages. Wexler lists no cross-references.
