Description

2019 WDDO-011 is a doubled die obverse on the 2019 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The date shows massive extra thickness, and there is strong doubling to the left of the nose, low down. LIBERTY shows moderate extra thickness, with the Y much thicker at its upper right than at its upper left, and the ERTY is notched at its lower left corners. IN GOD WE TRUST shows extra thickness that grows from left to right. On the obverse, a small gouge (dot) lies right of the bridge of the nose. Wexler notes no reverse markers. Christopher Hurley submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
