Description

2019 WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 2019 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows extra thickness. Obverse markers: a NE/SW crack in the hair that turns north and reaches the rim between the W and E of WE; a NW/SE crack on the forehead; a short N/S crack on the T of LIBERTY; strong NW/SE scratches crossing LIBERTY and also left of the date; a scratch running SE from the 9 of the date; a strong NW/SE scratch across the upper lip; a gouge right of the D in GOD, near its top; and a short gouge far to the right of TRUST's last T. Reverse markers: a gouge touching the shield's top, right of its peak; a gouge between the rim and the left edge of the scroll; and a gouge at the rim below the M of the designer's initials JFM.
