About This Coin
The 2016 Presidential Dollar is a United States dollar from the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. In 2016, the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints struck about 37.0 million Presidential dollars, each issue counted once whichever way its edge lettering runs. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service and the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. Nixon, Ford, and Reagan were released — only three coins this year: Jimmy Carter, next in line, was living, and the law barred living presidents. Weighing 8.1 grams, 26.5 mm in diameter, with a lettered edge. Designed by Various designers for each president / Don Everhart (reverse).
