Description
2016 WDDO-019 is a doubled die obverse on the 2016 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show light extra thickness; the Y's top right branch is slightly thicker than its top left one, and the ERTY is notched at the lower left. On the obverse, a small gouge lies right of the upper part of the I in IN. Reverse markers: a crack along the shield's top left with chips above the URI of PLURIBUS; a small gouge (dot) inside the lower part of the R in AMERICA; and small gouges (dots) under the bottom right of the M and under the E of AMERICA. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
