Description
2016 WDDO-016 is a doubled die obverse on the 2016 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show moderate extra thickness. On the obverse, near the rim, a gouge lies left of the bottom of the bust. On the reverse, a chip sits on the shield's top left, above the first U of PLURIBUS, and a short crack runs SW from the N in CENT, starting at its bottom left. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
