Description
2016 WDDO-012 is a doubled die obverse on the 2016 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show moderate extra thickness. On the obverse, south of WE, a small chip sits on a crack in the hair on top of the head. Reverse markers: a small gouge inside the lower part of the U in UNITED; a short gouge over the M in AMERICA on its right side; a crack along the shield's top left; and two small chips above the P of PLURIBUS. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
