Description
2016 WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse on the 2016 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show moderate extra thickness, with notches at the lower left of the RTY. On the obverse, a small gouge lies between the tops of the 1 and the 6 in the date. On the reverse, small chips sit on the shield's top left, above the U and the R of PLURIBUS. Jay Painter submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
