2015 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-043

Description

Cataloged by VarietyVista as DDR-043 with die marker reference UVC-2142 and die marker reverse DMR-044, this doubled die reverse variety was struck on a 2015 America the Beautiful quarter. The America the Beautiful quarter program, which ran from 2010 through 2021, produced coins in a copper-nickel clad composition weighing 5.67 grams with a 24.3 mm diameter and a reeded edge. The doubling on DDR-043 manifests as a light spread to the northeast visible in window L2 of the reverse design, a subtle but genuine hub doubling event on one of the architectural elements depicted on the reverse.
