2015 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-040

Description

Very strong spread in a north-northwest direction affecting windows L1, R1, L2, and R2 defines DDR-040 on the 2015 Philadelphia Mint Homestead National Park Quarter from Nebraska. Cataloged as UVC-2016 and DMR-002, die stage B documents the reverse at early-mid die state with a depression along the upper right roof, while the obverse is also at EMDS. The NNW spread on four specific windows of the Homestead building creates doubled impressions on these rectangular architectural elements, where the geometric window frames display hub displacement with particular clarity. The Homestead Quarter reverse, part of the America the Beautiful program, depicts a log cabin homestead with multiple windows providing favorable geometry for doubled die detection. The four affected windows, designated by their left-right and numbered positions within the building facade, offer a systematic diagnostic grid for variety confirmation. The roof depression at Stage B provides a supplementary die-state marker. The strong NNW directional spread across four distinct windows makes this among the more visually dramatic doubled die reverses within the America the Beautiful Quarter program's variety census.
