Description

Featuring a light spread to the northeast in window L2, the 2015 Homestead National Park Quarter DDR-019 is cataloged as UVC-2118 and DMR-020 by VarietyVista. This America the Beautiful quarter honors Homestead National Monument in Nebraska, and the doubled die reverse adds numismatic distinction to this issue. Three die states are documented: Stage A presents both reverse and obverse in early die state. Stage B reveals progressive die failure — a depression develops along the upper left roof paired with a long depression and die chip along the lower right roof. Die breaks appear in the upper right, lower right, and upper left corn husks, while the obverse reaches early-to-mid die state. Stage C in late die state remains unconfirmed. The concentration of deterioration in the building's roof area and surrounding corn husks gives later-stage specimens a distinctly weathered appearance. The America the Beautiful quarter program produced billions of coins across dozens of designs from 2010 to 2021, yet documented doubled die varieties from specific issues remain uncommon.
