Philadelphia Mint production volumes for the 2013 Mount Rushmore National Park Quarter reached into the hundreds of millions, a scale of manufacturing that required scores of individual working dies and provided abundant raw material for die variety researchers. This WDDR-016 is a cataloged doubled die reverse for the Philadelphia issue. The copper-nickel clad composition used for circulation-strike quarters since 1965 consists of a pure copper core bonded between outer layers of 75% copper and 25% nickel.
