Doubling shows on the lower part of Thomas Jefferson’s nose.Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: None significant. Obverse Stage B: Die crack across the base of the bust turning SE right of the designer's initials JF. Die gouge left of the T in LIBERTY. Die gouge right of the Y in LIBERTY. Die gouge right of the D in DOLLAR. Die gouge at the inner right corner of the N in UNITED. Large die gouge above the right side of the first T in STATES. Large die gouge NE of the E in WE. Obverse Stage C: Die chip formed at the right end of the die crack on the bust. Stage B gouges may or may not be present. Reverse Stage A: None significant. Reverse Stage B: Die crack extends N from a die chip on the suspended worker's right foot. Two die gouges left of Jefferson's left eye.
