Documented on the 2013 Philadelphia Mount Rushmore National Memorial quarter from the America the Beautiful series, WDDR-009 was attributed by the Wexler Team. The Mount Rushmore reverse depicts workers finishing the granite faces of Washington and Jefferson, a design rich with fine sculptural detail where hub doubling can produce subtle but detectable spread across facial features, rock textures, and lettering. WDDR-009 is a doubled die reverse cataloged for this issue of the ATB quarter program, which had a 2010 through 2021 run with five new designs per year through 2020 (one in 2021) offering fresh canvases for die-variety hunters. On this South Dakota issue, the carved presidential portraits provide natural reference points for detecting directional spread in doubled die varieties. Collectors should examine the reverse under magnification, focusing on the carved faces and surrounding rock detail where even minor hub misalignment during die production would leave measurable displacement.
