Description

2013-P SD WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2013-P Mount Rushmore National Memorial quarter (South Dakota) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the lower nose of Thomas Jefferson. Obverse markers: a gouge under the ear; two small gouges over the right side of LIBERTY's Y; a large gouge to the right of the left upright of QUARTER's U; one beside the right upright of UNITED's U, on its left; and a gouge in the upper opening of UNITED's N. Reverse markers: left of the designer's initials JFM there is a gouge; a pair of weak field gouges lie under RUSHMORE's R; a gouge sits right of Jefferson's nostril; and the suspended worker's hat has a small gouge touching its top.
