Description
2013-P SD WDDR-027 is a doubled die reverse on the 2013-P Mount Rushmore National Memorial quarter (South Dakota) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the lower nose of Thomas Jefferson. Obverse markers: a gouge just right of the top of QUARTER's A, a small gouge to the right of the base of QUARTER's last R, a small gouge under GOD's G, and a gouge between the bottoms of AMERICA's R and I. On the reverse there is a gouge over the leftmost scaffolding post and a small one inside Jefferson's left eye. Tanner Scott submitted the variety; Wexler's additional photos show a coin that George W. Powell, Jr. sent in. Wexler lists no cross-references.
